get in touch.

prospective students.

At the moment, I am not actively recruiting graduate students, but I’m always excited to hear from curious, motivated individuals who are interested in joining my research group in the future.

If you’d like to connect, please email me your CV along with a brief letter or message about your interest in working with us. Share a little about: 1) your background and experiences (including noteworthy non-science-related experiences), 2) why our group’s work resonates with you, 3) the types of research questions or projects that excite you, and 4) how you think a graduate degree or research experience could help you reach your career goals.

Before reaching out, I encourage you to explore our website. These pages provide insight into our values, the type of research we pursue, and the inclusive community we strive to create. Alignment with our approach to research and our values is just as important as academic qualifications.

I also strongly recommend looking into funding opportunities, such as NSERC scholarships, which are typically submitted a year before your intended start date. While having external funding increases the likelihood of joining our group, I welcome inquiries from students without funding as well. We can assess opportunities on a case-by-case basis, depending on your interests and the resources available.

A note for students from non-traditional paths and equity-deserving groups:
If you feel unsure about whether you meet the criteria or where to start, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m happy to help you navigate the process, identify potential opportunities, and figure out how your unique experiences and perspectives can contribute to the work we do. My group is committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming space where diverse voices and experiences are valued and celebrated. Let’s figure this out together!
